Poinsettia has had a great run. Time for some fresh sap. (A sap that’s not caustic.)
If the polls are still open, I nominate Leucadendron salignum ‘Blush.” It’s got green-and-red covered. Zones 8 to 10.
And wouldn’t you rather look at this in your greenhouse/windowsill/garden in January?
I’m sure you already knew I was on your side in this Christmas plant “knock down”…just the idea of any Leucadendron being as widely available up here as the Poinsettia is makes me positively giddy.

I would rather look at that Leucadendron 365 days a year. It would even look good in a red-cellophane-wrapped pot.

I’ve not ever seen one offered here in Houston. Can they take temps above 90? I love to have some for this time of the year as well. David
Go for it! Leucodendron’s no harder to spell than poinsettia. And in California let’s replace holly with the native toyon!
