The aeoniums are losing that shriveled and squinty, “Anybody seen my sunglasses?” look they acquire over summer, plumping up again for their favorite season that’s just ahead.

An old post from January 2013 “comparative aeoniums” shows them at their happiest.

That’s a beautiful shot… Aeoniums are one of my “envy-plants”. Never seem to make them happy, so I’ll enjoy them vicariously through you. Thanks for joining in, Denise!

Nice shot. I decided to give up on most of my Aeoniums because of their preference for winter. That’s when they’re out in the greenhouse, rather than in the garden, which seems like kind of a waste.

It is wonderful to see these plants relax as fall’s cooler temperatures arrive.

I’ve dared to water a few (a very few) all summer, and they are staying active. A bit of a surprise. That’s a lovely one you have, with the reddish tones.

Love Aeoniums! That’s a great one.
