{"id":1359,"date":"2010-02-18T19:49:40","date_gmt":"2010-02-18T23:49:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=1359"},"modified":"2010-03-20T20:03:07","modified_gmt":"2010-03-21T00:03:07","slug":"a-grate-idea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=1359","title":{"rendered":"A Grate Idea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Up early, prowling around with the camera, Mr. Agave has an eerie glow in his new, most likely temporary quarters:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/s52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/?action=view&#038;current=feb18007.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/feb18007.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Photobucket\"><\/a\n\nI wanted to get a few photos of the grates before heading off to work.  Because, yes, the title was impossible to resist.  But, truthfully, what kind of idea \nthis might be considered as depends upon whether you've ever felt inclined to collect odd bits of salvage for no discernible reason, as I have \ndone since I was a child.  (If the answer is yes, welcome, fellow magpie of the human race.)  Old street grates have always had a strong appeal.  \nI've used them to fill cut-outs in gates, as table tops, but recently I decided to just plop them on the ground as quasi-stepping stones:\n\n<a href=\"http:\/\/s52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/?action=view&#038;current=feb18022-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/feb18022-1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Photobucket\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/s52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/?action=view&#038;current=feb18019-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/feb18019-1.jpg\" bord<a href=\"http:\/\/s52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/?action=view&#038;current=feb18018-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/feb18018-1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Photobucket\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lately I&#8217;m feeling a little salvage goes a long way in a small garden.
