{"id":73421,"date":"2016-06-20T11:36:59","date_gmt":"2016-06-20T15:36:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=73421"},"modified":"2016-06-20T11:36:59","modified_gmt":"2016-06-20T15:36:59","slug":"occasional-daily-weather-report-62016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=73421","title":{"rendered":"Occasional Daily Weather Report 6\/20\/16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><big>We thought we&#8217;d have the <a href=\"http:\/\/energy.gov\/energysaver\/cooling-whole-house-fan\">whole house fan<\/a> installed before the long, hot days of summer, but there&#8217;s been a few hiccups.<br \/>\nWhen it finally arrived for pickup at a local big box store, it was shipped without instructions or necessary hardware, so that set us back a couple extra weeks.<br \/>\nThe current heat wave may have won this round, but we&#8217;ll be ready for the next one (fingers crossed).<br \/>\n118 in Palm Springs yesterday, 100 in our own Long Beach.  Hotter today.<br \/>\nSmoke from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.countyofsb.org\/scherpa-fire.sbc\">Sherpa fire<\/a> fills our skies, making a fire 100 miles north seem uncomfortably local.<br \/>\nHighway 101 around <a href=\"http:\/\/santabarbaraca.com\/press_releases\/destination-update-sherpa-fire\/\">Santa Barbara<\/a> is open today but has been subject to closures.<br \/>\nGarden lovers will also worry about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lotusland.org\/\">Lotusland<\/a> when that area burns, but as far as I can tell it is far enough south that it&#8217;s not in imminent danger. <\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/june2016\/1-P1012443.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\" photo 1-P1012443.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Buckle up.
