{"id":9821,"date":"2010-11-17T15:07:48","date_gmt":"2010-11-17T19:07:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=9821"},"modified":"2010-11-19T19:41:21","modified_gmt":"2010-11-19T23:41:21","slug":"hail-to-the-thief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=9821","title":{"rendered":"Hail To The Thief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><big><em>Sub rosa<\/em> footage taken through the kitchen door window late in the evening two nights ago.<br \/>\nWe thought a possum might be responsible for what was becoming the nightly theft of cat food, and that was exciting enough to contemplate.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/_MG_2289.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Photobucket\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll have to explain that living solidly in urban Los Angeles as we do, our own neighborhood running a huge deficit of parks, with the surrounding fauna mostly dogs, cats, and birds, this thrills us no end.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, we&#8217;re just not staying up late enough to absorb the entirety of wildlife that visits the garden.  <\/p>\n<p>Awed whispers described his girth and beautiful coat.  Someone murmured in appreciation, &#8220;How dexterous he is!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/_MG_2288.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Photobucket\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dexter did manage to knock the container off the porch, open the lid, and eat the contents, which wasn&#8217;t much.<br \/>\nBut still, we don&#8217;t want to turn Dexter into a dependent softie, so we&#8217;re bringing the cat food container in at night.<br \/>\nI&#8217;d prefer his appetite stay keen, omnivore that he is, for my garden snails.<\/p>\n<p><\/big><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sub rosa footage taken through the kitchen door window late in the evening two nights ago.
