{"id":11729,"date":"2010-12-31T22:03:15","date_gmt":"2011-01-01T02:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=11729"},"modified":"2010-12-31T22:03:15","modified_gmt":"2011-01-01T02:03:15","slug":"happy-new-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=11729","title":{"rendered":"Happy New Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><big>The buses run free of charge tonight, there&#8217;s street music and food downtown, so we&#8217;re going to bundle up, step out, and see what the city has to offer this New Year&#8217;s Eve.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on my first year in &#8220;narcissistic journalism&#8221; leaves me uncharacteristically mute.<br \/>\nAll I can say is, these are truly interesting times.  <em>In spades<\/em>.  <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/1223aft027.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Photobucket\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p> And looking at beautiful things like grevillea helps.  A lot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/1223aft025.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Photobucket\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Grevillea &#8216;Superb&#8217; and I wish you all a warm, safe, <em>superb<\/em> New Year&#8217;s Eve.   I&#8217;d wish us all happiness in 2011, but I tend to agree with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uLceaQuFyQE\">Fran Lebowitz<\/a>, that happiness is a sensation, not a condition that can be attained and then sustained indefinitely.
