It is the smallest floristic province in North America, but has the greatest diversity of plants north of Mexico. It includes such characteristic vegetation as chaparral, coastal sage scrub, oak woodland and grassland. These plants exhibit classic adaptations to California\u2019s hot dry summers and cool wet winters: leaves that are small and leathery, light-colored or drought-deciduous<\/em>.&#8221; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/rsabg.org\/living-collection-1\">Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, November 2, 2013, is a special day indeed.  <a href=\"http:\/\/rsabg.org\/\">Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden<\/a> will host the <a href=\"http:\/\/rsabg.org\/garden-events\/992-fall-planting-festival-2\">Fall Planting Festival<\/a>, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<br \/>\n<center><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/blog\/P1013496.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\" photo P1013496.jpg\"\/><\n\nSalvia clevelandii\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>Think you have other plans? There will be experts on hand to help people make selections, and to offer planting and care advice.
