{"id":60935,"date":"2014-10-13T13:14:33","date_gmt":"2014-10-13T17:14:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=60935"},"modified":"2020-02-19T15:16:45","modified_gmt":"2020-02-19T19:16:45","slug":"culver-city-cactus-tower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=60935","title":{"rendered":"Culver City Cactus Tower"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, it&#8217;s true, I&#8217;ve been prowling craigslist, hoping to stumble upon dream listings like &#8220;<em>free fence post cactus!<\/em>&#8221;  or &#8220;<em>unwanted cactus, you dig and haul away<\/em>.&#8221; I want to line the east fence with large containers of mature succulents, none of which I possess at the moment, but then that&#8217;s what craigslist and Sunday afternoons are for.  No luck so far, but somehow my search led me to the Cactus Tower in Culver City created by the firm <a href=\"http:\/\/ericowenmoss.com\/office\/\">Eric Owen Moss Architects<\/a>.  A warehouse was stripped to its steel beams and used as a support for hoisting cactus into the sky.
