(e.g. West Elm <a href=\"http:\/\/www.westelm.com\/products\/pipeline-hall-tree-g763\/\">here<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/january2016\/1-P1010736.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\" photo 1-P1010736.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I still find a pipestand endlessly useful for framing pots and hanging essential stuff that has temporarily lost its purpose.<br \/>\nA girl&#8217;s gotta have a place to hang her tractor lights, right?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/january2016\/1-P1010728.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\" photo 1-P1010728.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s like having a dusty barn full of block and tackle, chains, come-alongs, all manner of potentially useful stuff&#8230;without the barn or the spiderwebs.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/botanizeme020\/june2014\/P1017402.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\" photo P1017402.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/botanizeme020\/june2014\/P1017399.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\" photo P1017399.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The only rule for inclusion is that the object be of a simple, basic shape.  These make the best shadows.<br \/>\nThe shadows all this junk casts are a big part of the attraction.  I wish I had a photograph to demonstrate but I don&#8217;t.<br \/>\nSome days the shadows can remind me of the work of <a href=\"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=21405\">Olivia Parker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/botanizeme020\/june2014\/P1017405.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\" photo P1017405.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These tongs we found at a flea market in Oregon seem to be the only permanent member of the piperack, which changes up frequently.<br \/>\nThey are simply the most expressive tongs I have ever seen.   Almost insect-like.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/january2016\/1-P1010845.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\" photo 1-P1010845.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And the pipestand holds assorted eye hooks and S hooks for hanging planters that I&#8217;d never be able to find in Marty&#8217;s garage when I need them.<\/p>\n<p>I mean those tractor lights could come in handy some day as &#8230; well, I have no idea at the moment.<br \/>\nBut if I move them into deep storage, there&#8217;s not much chance that I&#8217;ll ever figure it out, is there?<\/p>\n<p>Just a testimonial to the humble pipestand.
