{"id":7508,"date":"2010-08-29T19:23:51","date_gmt":"2010-08-29T23:23:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=7508"},"modified":"2010-08-29T19:23:51","modified_gmt":"2010-08-29T23:23:51","slug":"stolen-garden-kisses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agrowingobsession.com\/?p=7508","title":{"rendered":"Stolen Garden Kisses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><big>The one-foot tall agave and the giant Polygonum orientale, Kiss Me Over The Garden Gate, would seem fated never to meet, to exist in separate physical planes, forever divided by height and differing moisture needs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/s52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/?action=view&#038;current=629aft006.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/629aft006.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Photobucket\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But meet they do, and even kiss, when the agave is grown in a mossed basket hung from a wire tripod about 5 feet high, and the 6-foot Polygonum orientale is bowed over by the weight of its tassels.   They totally surprised me with their affection for each other today.
