Long Beach garden designer and ceramicist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.secondnaturegardendesign.com\/\">Dustin Gimbel<\/a>, some of whose recent work is pictured above, will give a talk on February 19 at 10 a.m. entitled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/tickets.modernismweek.com\/f\/modernism-week\/sculpturalism-and-the-landscape\">Sculpturalism and the landscape,<\/a>&#8221; which dovetails nicely with the launch of his online ceramics shop earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i52.photobucket.com\/albums\/g23\/botanizeme\/march2014\/186bcbf8dec443dc5b28ca76359a541e.jpg\" alt=\" photo 186bcbf8dec443dc5b28ca76359a541e.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s lots of absorbing tours and talks to choose from, but also of specific interest to me is the talk on February 20, 10 a.m., &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/tickets.modernismweek.com\/f\/modernism-week\/desert-gardens-of-steve-martino-21st-century-modernism\">Desert Gardens of Steve Martino; 21st Century Modernism.<\/a>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 16, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the <a href=\"http:\/\/apldca.org\/contact-apldca\/greater-los-angeles-district-apldca\/\">Association of Professional Landscape Designers<\/a> presents &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/tickets.modernismweek.com\/f\/modernism-week\/ask-a-landscape-designer\">Ask a Landscape Designer<\/a>,&#8221; (&#8220;<em>Bring your landscape design dilemmas to Modernism Week and get 30 minutes of advice from a professional landscape designer at APLD&#8217;s &#8216;Ask a Landscape Designer.&#8217; This is a great opportunity to sit down with landscape professionals from the Association of Professional Landscape Designers for some simple and affordable design solutions for your own garden.
