The front gravel garden is aglow in orange. Dyckias, Spanish poppies.
Personally, I’m on very good terms with orange. Some good plants refuse to come in any other color.

I’m in complete agreement. Orange flowers look great with green!
It looks “right” here, doesn’t it? Orange agrees with the California light, the stucco walls, the tile roofs, the steel blue sea. In northern latitudes, it seems garish.
