stellar agaves

The ancient Aztec riddle asked “What points its finger at the sky?” and the riddle’s answer is “the Maguey Thorn.”

Left-over plans from 2014:
So when I finally get around to making a Steller contribution featuring agaves, these are some of the AGO archival photos I’ll use:

  1. This is my kind of post. Biútiful. Do let us know when you’ve posted your Steller story.

    P.S. I love that Aztec saying. I’d never heard it before.

  2. And all unblemished-looking. The 2nd to last photo is so southern California showing what the rest of us cannot do! (our morning dusting of snow has now melted…)

  3. Kris P says:

    Beautiful photos! Thanks for the introduction to Stellar. I look forward to the story that weaves your agaves together.

  4. The agave story is one I never tire of.

    Well, it’s not “Colorblocked New Years Fingernails”, but it’s nice. 😉

  6. Denise says:

    @Gerhard, I’ve got to load the app onto an iPad — using it on a phone is really awkward.
    @David, there’s plenty of blemished agaves around town — my own garden included!
    @Kris, aren’t agaves incredibly photogenic?
    @Loree, tequila, pulque, it’s such a big looong story that there will have to be some shortcuts taken with it 😉
    @Hoov, if only I had the instincts and know-how to cover what’s new in nails, the new year would be a more prosperous one!
