leaving town mid-July for a week

That annoying dream. Shop, prep, cook, plate. And just as you’re sitting down to savor the meal, you realize you’ve forgotten about a very important engagement and must leave the feast and dash out the door. Annoying dream or mid-summer trip, it all means leaving the party in full swing.

Marty tells me it rained overnight and this morning — hallelujah!

More soon, AGO.

And what a party! Where are you headed? You could send some of your rain our way and maybe a cool breeze or two. We are sweltering though the gardens are loving the heat more than the gardener.

  2. Gerhard Bock says:

    RAIN, the magic word!!!

  3. Tracy says:

An evening and morning rain, what a delight! Have a fun trip wherever you are, it’s hard to leave the garden – especially in summer.

  4. Kris P says:

Have a great time with whatever you’re up to, Denise!

  5. I left the cushions on the patio chairs thinking that would for sure mean we’d get rain, we got nothing. Lots of thunder and lightening though.

  6. It’s hard leaving the party and the responsibilities of a garden in summer. We had enough rain while I was at the Fling, so all’s good! Hope you’re having fun.
